Thermal and mechanical properties of nanofilled poly(methyl methacrylate) nanocomposites produced by two ultrasonic methods

PPMANC1 and PMMANC2 nanocomposites have been fabricated using two reactive clays by methods characterized in order to estimate the impact of different dispersion states on mechanical properties. A simple economical process polymerisation is adopted develop PMMANC an Algerian clay, trying optimize distribution PMMA clay layers. Two distinct types organic mined, labelled as (i) benzyltrimethyl ammonium chloride (BTBA-Mag (1CEC)) (ii) hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDTAB-MagCTA (2.5CEC)). Evaluation properties PMMANC1 are carried out physicochemical techniques. The results obtained XRD, transmission electron microscopy reveal that modified maghnite well dispersed matrix significant improvements thermal observed from analysis. Young module, resistance tensile strength incorporating 5% organoargile most effective compared synthesis processes.
